A major priority for the city is to create more residential and commercial parking locations. So far, technologies such as the solar-power Flex Pay parking meters have been implemented.

Most of the streets of West Hollywood are permit parking so it's very risky to park on the street unless you see a parking meter, or it's Halloween or Gay Pride day. Do not park in the Pavillions grocery store parking lot. Do not park on Sunset Blvd. after midnight. West Hollywood often doesn't ticket illegally parked cars, YOUR CAR WILL BE TOWED AWAY.

It's easy to PARK ONCE and WALK EVERYWHERE in Gay West Hollywood. The 21 Gay Bars, Fun Gay Clubs, 26 Gay Shops, 16 Gay Coffee Shops, and 69 Gay Friendly Restaurants are in walking distance. Find your favorite parking lot, then enjoy a fun evening without any worry about driving.

Here's a SECRET! West Hollywood removes most parking permit restrictions on Halloween, Gay Pride, and sometimes Christmas Day. Come early and park in normally restricted residental areas from 5pm Halloween Night to 6am the next morning. Make SURE you are in West Hollywood, not Los Angeles or Beverly Hills. Meters are still enforced.

The City of West Hollywood offers a CityLine Shuttle Service from 9:00am to 6:00pm (and 5:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. on Halloween night) The route operates along Santa Monica Boulevard between La Cienega Boulevard and Fuller Avenue.
